A Ferver pray is a deep, focused, and passion-filled petition to God.

One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, Jesus told them, when you pray say: "Our Father, who is in Heaven, hallowed be your name, (Praise)  your kingdom come, your will be done on Earth has it is in Heaven (ask for God 's will) Give us each day our daily bread, (ask of your need ) and forgive us our sins as, we forgive those who sin against."(repent).

So when you are not sure how to pray, think of it like this. PRAY  (P) praise God first. (R) repent of your sins and ask forgiveness. (A) ask God for your needs or concerns. (Y) thank God for hearing your prays and that he may be willing.

God's will is always best, even if we do not understand why things are happening.  We need to trust God, for he loves us all and wants the best for us.

God has made promises regarding our prayers:

"MarK 11:24" Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

"John 16:23" Whatever they ask the Father in Jesus' name, He will give it to them.

"John 16:24" Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.

"Matthew 21:22"  Whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will recieve.

There are so many promises from God and God is faithful in keeping all his promises to us.  We have to ask, believe and Trust in Him.  But always know that God knows best for all of us and if he says no - Trust that it is best!

​

One of the most powerful tools a Christian has is prayer. It is the most direct way to speak to God, to thank Him, to ask Him for things, or just to connect with the Creator about what is going on in life and in the world. When studying the Bible, the importance of prayer is clear. Individuals in both the Old and New Testaments - before and after the life, death, and resurrection of Christ - prayed passionately, intensely, and sincerely.

To pray fervently is to pray with intensity, fueled by the Holy Spirit. It can be any kind of prayer. Someone can be intensely thankful, deeply in need, or embroiled in spiritual warfare. The prayer can be outward, and often fervent prayer does manifest itself physically in movement, words, and sometimes tears. Some people pray inwardly, but with a burning in their spirit that is just as powerful as the prayer of someone saying their words out loud.

What fervent prayer does not guarantee is that if a Christian prays really, really hard, that they will get whatever they want. The Psalmist wrote, “If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened” (Psalm 66:18). Earlier in his letter, James wrote, “You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions” (James 4:3). The Apostle John said, “And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us” (1 John 5:14). Prayer that is driven by a sinful desire, that leads to worldly gain that does not glorify God, or that is not according to God’s will may not be answered in the affirmative.

Please Heavenly Father, help us to learn to pray effectively for your children. Let them who receive your blessings, see that all the glory goes to you for any answered prayers, and let them give Glory and Honor to You!
